Galapagos is a documentary series produced by the BBC Natural History Unit. This three-episode series is narrated by Tilda Swanson, and examines both the history of the Galapagos Islands and their importance to Charles Darwin's ideas and how they support the theory of evolution. The first episode, "Born of Fire", covers the exceptional geography and introduces the watcher to the unique species of animals that reside there. The second episode, "Islands that Changed the World", show how these species influenced the research of Charles Darwin (voiced by Tom Hiddleston) and indicate the possible evidence of evolution. The third episode, "Forces of Change", focus on the future, with the influence that both the environment and mankind are having and will have on the animal population of the islands.
