"Less Than Zero" is the story of Clay Easton (Andrew McCarthy) returning home for a college break only to find that his old friend, Julian (Robert Downey Jr.), is suffering from a severe drug addiction and his life is completely out of control. Set in Los Angeles, California, the movie follows Clay, Julian, and Clay's ex-girlfriend, Blair (Jami Gertz), as they try to save Julian from himself, and realize that they themselves may need saving.
